Blackstar Motors is a used vehicle dealership located in West Plains, MO that is owned and operated by a husband and wife team, Zac and Jamie Hollingshad.
Let me tell you a little about us. I'm Zac, I am the one you'll likely talk to when you call or come by. My wife Jamie heads up our internet sales and takes the great pictures you're seeing on our listings. I grew up being surrounded by hot rods, race cars, off road trucks, boats, and so on. My family has been involved in all things motor related on land and on the water for generations...you could say it's in my blood. I hit the lottery when I met my wife, Jamie, and soon learned she loved cars/trucks as much as I did. Our love for all things automotive has been a huge part of our marriage, and now our professional life.
From a young age I developed a certain taste in cars and trucks that grew until I was old enough to drive, when I naturally began to look for, buy, and modify my personal vehicles until they were something I was proud of. In high school my dad and I put together several cars, including my pride and joy; my 1991 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX Hatchback. People in West Plains still remember the "Silver Mustang" and it has been sold and gone since 2006! Honestly, I can still hear the sound of the cam as rumbled at idle. Lifted and lowered diesel trucks, luxury cars, classics, sports cars from a blown Cobra to a twin turbo Z06 Corvette, numerous boats....the passion grew and a reputation was developed for the high caliber vehicle I enjoyed owning, modifying, and eventually offering for sale. All this took shape while working full time, attending high school, and then college.
Finding, buying, customizing, selling; repeat. It became a cycle, something I loved doing, something I thought I could turn into a business. After college it became clear that I did not want an average profession, or a 'desk job'. I began to slowly buy, modify, and sell vehicles on the side expressly to supplement my income. By 2008 I was ready and able to quit my full time job and begin building Blackstar Motors as you see it today!
Since opening in 2008, Blackstar has continued to develop and maintain a reputation for providing only the best. We take great pride in carrying unique, highly optioned, very well designed, carefully thought out inventory that is presented in as close to new condition as possible. We strive to stand out with our inventory. You see, for us, it is not just job or another vehicle on the lot...it is a passion. We are committed to excellence.
